Signpost Group of Firms are started by Lion Dr Er J Shivakumaar, with publishing COIMBATORE INDUSTRIAL DIRECTORY, in the year 1981. It was published at a time, when the concept of publication of local / citywise directories were not known. Based on the success of this maiden edition, printed directories on Madurai, Salem, Madras and then Tamil Nadu were published from 1982.
We have grown with Technology, with time. We are the first to release our Directories in Floppy Diskettes; Compact Diskettes, Web Sites, EBooks, Mobile Apps etc, as and when the relevant technologies were introduced to the public. We are Pioneers in our field and Leaders still now. We are encouraged in our efforts by all the User Industries, General Public and the Local Associations like CODISSIA, CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, COSIEMA, LIONS CLUBS etc. We are assisted by well educated and experienced Staff who are Graduates and Post Graduates.
With the Technical know how from UK Firm “TECHNO CONSULTING PARTNERS, Manchester, UK”, we started publishing Digital Directories, for reading printed books in the Smart Phones and eReaders, from 2016. It is True that FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BRAVE. Introduction of Mobile Services by JIO in 2017, enabled every one to access Internet at very low cost (at Rs 4 per Gb instead of earlier Rs 256 per Gb). So the usage of Smart Phones sky rocketed. And hence our user base of Digital Editions increased enormously.
We assisted 73 Lions Districts in India, to Digitize their current year Lions Directories and read in Smart Phones of Lakhs of Lion Members all over India.

Lion Dr Er J Shivakumaar is the Chief Executive Officer, MD and Promoter of SIGNPOST Group. He is a Post Graduate Engineer, Industrialist, Technocrat and Consultant. He is a Graduate in Engineering (BE Mech, 1971), Post Graduate in Engineering (MSc Engg. 1973) from Madras University. He is honoured with Honourary Doctorate in 2010 by Italian University. He has guided more than 1000 Entrepreneurs in starting their own Industry or Business through Consultations, Project Reports.
Lion Dr Er J Shivakumaar, has published more than 30 Industrial Directories in Print, and had helped numerous Businesses to grow. Editor of more than 60 Lions Directories (Digital Editions) and have saved 1000s of Tonnes of Trees from being cut for Paper. He is member of Industrial Associations like CODISSIA, COSIEMA, Chamber of Commerce etc. He is Member, Past President of Lions Clubs, Vasavi Clubs etc.
Er S.Subramani, is the Director and Promoter of SIGNPOST Group. He is Post Graduate in Computer Applications from Manipal University. Has wide experience in Software Development, Digital Technology, Industrial Applications etc. He is involved in the Digital Developments of the Firm, whenever related new technologies are introduced.
SIGNPOST is in the field of Directory Services for more than 3 decades. We started first with Publication of Industrial Directories for Coimbatore, as Print Edition in 1981, at a time when the concept of city level Directories were not known. Publication of Industrial Directories on Madurai, Salem, Madras (now Chennai) followed in the succeeding years. Then a Directory for entire Tamilnadu in 1984. SIGNPOST is always a Pioneer and has grown with Technology.

We are a Registered Developer with Google and have more than 20 Mobile Apps to our credit, all listed in Google PLAY STORES. We developed Apps on LIONS CLUBS, VASAVI CLUBS, BLOOD DONATION, BUS ROUTE FINDER etc.
First to introduce DIGITAL EDITIONS with know how from UK, to enable reading Directories in Mobile Phones, in 2015. More than 60 Lions Districts in India have availed this Technology from 2016 to 2021 and made their bulky & heavy Directories portable. Also saved plenty of Paper, Trees and Saved Earth.
SIGNPOST also has Unique Distinction of having received Guinness World Record Certificate in 2009, for creating the World’s Largest Drawing on Social Causes.
